BE BABY CONFIDENT PROGRAMME
For mums who want breastfeeding to be at the centre of precious newborn memories,
not the reason they missed them.
You know you want to do your best and you don't want to look back and realise that you missed the magical moments of becoming their mum because you had no confidence.
What if...
You've picked up the thought of breastfeeding, then put it down again. Felt guilty, so picked it up again and convinced yourself it'll probably be okay... only to put it down again because it all seems so complicated.
Pain. No sleep. Cluster feeding. Supply. Weight loss. Tongue ties. Pumping. Bottles. Nipple shields. Worrying whether your baby's getting enough. You feel tired just thinking about it.
And every day your baby's arrival creeps a little closer and you genuinely don't know what you want to do.
You know what you 'say you want to do'.
To some people you say you're going to 'wait and see how it goes.' To others, that you 'just want your baby to be okay'. And sometimes you say you 'don't want to push yourself so far over the edge trying to breastfeed that you lose yourself in the process.'
All of those things are true.
But there's another version you don't say quite so readily.
You'd really love to breastfeed them, you just don't know how...

YOU JUST WANT A SIMPLE ANSWER
How do I know whether I need to offer one side or two? How will I know whether they had enough? Why aren't they going to sleep after a feed... do they need more? Didn't they get enough last time... how do I even know how to work this out?
So you keep reading and the more you read, the more complicate it gets because now there are different kinds of milk, warnings about baby's getting too much and reflux but also getting too little and dehydrating... and when you think about combination feeding, you've really opened a can of worms with all the nipple teat confusion stories.
Now you're even more confused and wonder what you're supposed to do
You know all the bits of information about latching your baby but what if they don't do 'what they're supposed to do?'. You know how often they are meant to feed but what if they don't want to feed or don't want to stop feeding, is it ok? How do you know? What tells you one way or another that things are ok or not?
You know that you can't possibly collect all the answers before baby arrives nor that anyone can give them to you.
Deep down you know that a lot of it is going to be trial and error and you're going to have to figure it out, sometimes on your own and for yourself:
- For your body
- For your birth
- For your baby
- For your lifestyle
The confidence piece you've been missing in all your preparation is YOU. Your preparation starts and ends with you at the centre of it.
Without you, preparation generic at best, possibly irrelevant because you are unique.

WHAT YOU REALLY WAY
You want to meet those hard breastfeeding moments, unwitnessed, alone usually in the middle of the night when no-one is around, knowing with confidence, that you're ok. More importantly that your baby is ok and you've got this.
You want to be able to stop yourself spiralling and catastrophising because you have the calm clarity to know how to tell that things are working, that your baby is getting milk or simply how to stop things escalating. Or that you need to get help urgently.
Without this understanding, everything feels like an emergency you need to rush to A&E for or it could be worse, you could feel so confident that you're blissfully unaware that things aren't so great.
Being able to know when to react and respond will remove a lot of weight off your shoulders you probably weren't even aware you've been carrying.
You don't want all the answers, just the really important ones that reassure you or alert you in time, without unnecessary fear.
THE SOLUTION YOU'VE ACTUALLY BEEN LOOKING FOR
Teaches you how how to interpret the big and small signals your baby gives you, so that you can decide whether to keep doing what you are, how to improve it or change it so that feeding your baby gets better and better.
And what you're learning doesn't stop being useful when the programme ends. As your baby changes, you'll have a way to look at what's happening, work out what it might mean and decide what to do next — rather than feeling like every new feeding stage sends you back to the beginning.
What do you actually want feeding to look like and have you made the decisions that could make that more likely?
There's a version of how this goes in secret, in your head... that you'd love to create... And then there's the public version of what you tell people you'd like to try do. What if you gave yourself permission to choose from the start, without thinking about what you should say you want or choose... What does that plan look like? Because that's the plan you need to build.
This is the place where you work out what matters most to you, the feeding plan you want, what could make it work in your actual life, what you really need to buy. And when relevant, how to get your support network on the same page, so they’re all working toward your vision and plan rather than leading you to follow theirs.

When you look at your baby's feeding pattern, their weight and their poops... will you know if it's ok to leave them sleeping longer at night?
Where do you keep the endless tips, hacks, 'expert insights' preparing for motherhood, feeling like you're right back at school getting ready for an exam that nobody really seems to know how to prepare you for?
Please step my classroom where you learn how every little thing connects. From the very first day, the links and changes how feeds go, how your baby behaves, how your body and supply behaves and how to stand in the centre of it call and maintain control. Because here's the thing I've learnt after 30 years and nearly 15 000 families... everything is connected and when you know what to look for and at, you quickly see the missing link or challenge point.
Whether you breastfeed exclusively or mixed it up, this is the one thing that will help you feel ready to feed your baby.

TENDAYS is deliberately not a starting point.
You can't learn what to do if you don't understand what is triggering that action, why you're doing it, and why it makes sense for you + your baby.
That's the foundation IMREADY™ gives you. You learn how to understand what you're looking at first, then TENDAYS teaches you what to actually do with that understanding when your baby arrives.
This is the part of preparation I don't want you to skip.
IMREADY™ first. TENDAYS next.

Everything organised and yours to keep

A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE
Your baby may not be here yet, but we already have plenty to work with... your body, your pregnancy, your history and what we’re learning about your baby.
These are your knowns. And each one gives us something solid to build on.
So rather than trying to prepare for every possibility, we use what we know about you and your baby to work out what you need to plan, what you need to learn and what can wait.
The more knowns we create now,
the fewer unknowns you’ll be navigating when your baby arrives.
Geraldine Miskin has spent 30 years and nearly 15,000 feeding journeys developing the Miskin Method®, MumBo™ and other frameworks to create
a way of understanding and explaining feeding that makes sense.
She's a published author, an internationally recognised feeding specialist, lecturer and the reason mums who've tried everything else finally get their answer.
She created Be Baby Confident after seeing first hand the gap between current preparation and outcomes despite mums doing the work and set out to change that for you and mums like you.
